About Flag & Fortitude

Flag & Fortitude operates on a modest scale. We handle design work, orders and customer support in-house. This allows us to uphold the high standard we've set for ourselves across all products and every single customer experience. Our unwillingness to compromise on quality and unyielding American values translate to longer production times and a smaller catalog, but standing up for your values is worth it. We sincerely hope those values resonate with the right people and liberty lives on.

Freedom. Family. Fortitude.

Our Mission

Flag & Fortitude was founded on the same enduring values the Mayflower set sail for: freedom, family, and fortitude. The people on that ship crossed the Atlantic suffering unbelievable hardships, hunger and violent storms yet pressed on with determination and faith.
Those three values persisted and they guide us in everything we do. If a design doesn't connect to at least one of them, it doesn't pass the screening. Our goal is to keep the Mayflower's spirit alive and pass it on. Modern-day America could use a reminder on what this country was built on. We believe the values deserve a standard that reflects them so we keep the printing in the USA, on premium blanks.

The Standard

Flag & Fortitude runs on a print-on-demand model. No warehouse or shelf of shirts that needs to move before the next shipment arrives. Every piece is produced when the order comes in, at print facilities in the United States, and ships from there. This costs us more, but helps keep jobs in the USA and eases quality control. In the case of misprints or subpar delivery times it's less of a hurdle to contact our real, American print-providers as opposed to some shady, invisible Chinese factory.
Unfortunately producing on demand at lower volume costs more per unit than a warehouse-scale operation. The Essentials are priced more affordably because the production is relatively straightforward by design, while the Signature Series costs more because the design and print work involved is considerably more complex. Both use high-quality materials and neither price is inflated beyond what the production warrants.

  • Their families and the people who want to honor what that service actually costs.
  • Americans of faith.
  • Parents who are deliberate about what they pass on to their kids.
  • Anyone who has glanced at the patriotic apparel aisle and felt it deserved better.
